Former Asante Kotoko striker Songne Yacoube is expected to sign for Zambian giants Zesco United.
Yacouba’s initial links with the likes of Meadema SC and Inter Allies last week has now turned a different direction.
News out of the local scene says that a Zesco move is in the worlks. The Burkinabe forward is a free agent after his deal with the Porcupine Warriors expired on 1 April 2020.
“Former Asante Kotoko SC forward Songné Yacouba is set for a move to ZESCO United on a free transfer,” reported GHANAsoccernet.com today.
The publication believes that the contract discussions are already in an advanced stage.
It now remains to be seen if the likes of Medeama and Allies will be launching faster and aggressive offers to highjack the Zambian move.
