Manchester United’s defender Luke Shaw, can’t forget what was a devastating match against Victor Moses, when the left-back was a Southampton teenager.
Shaw revealed the experience while having a chat with Manchester United’s media about the toughest player he has ever come up against in his career.
“People always think I’m joking, but one of my hardest games ever was against Victor Moses when I was coming in as a 17-year-old at Southampton,” Shaw said.
“Maybe because I was so young. He was really quick, direct, strong and that was a challenge for me.
The English defender also used the moment to remind us that he has previously faced some of the game’s best ever attackers, like the great Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale, but somehow managed to have better games against those names than he had versus Nigeria's Moses.
“I’ve played against the likes of Gareth Bale, Messi and [Eden] Hazard, and they were all so good, but I always remember Victor Moses as a really tough opponent as well,” added Shaw.
