English Premier League side Arsenal is interested in the services of France and Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot has had a hard time at Juventus since joining them last summer on a free transfer and is already looking for a way out after falling out with the club’s hierarchy after being forced to take a pay cut.
French publication L’Equipe now reports that Arsenal is one of the teams that are interested in the player with Gunner’s boss Mikel Arteta said to be a big admirer of the player.
Despite having an interest, Arsenal is said not to be willing to pay the player’s €7.5million a year wages he earns at Juventus with Arteta said to be on the window for players who can match their wage bills as they seek to offload some of their highest earners.
The deal then would only happen if Rabiot can accept a pay cut something the player might not be keen on as he weighs his options on the table.
Apart from the fee, Juventus wants a fee around £30million in order to sell the midfielder they got for free and the player’s suitors believe the fee might be a lot considering the player hasn’t been playing regularly for the Turin based club.
Other reports indicate that should Arsenal not agree on any fee with Juventus for a permanent deal, they are willing to take the player on a loan deal just as they did with Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.
Manchester United is the other club said to be interested in the player with the Frenchman keen on playing in England; Rabiot already being touted to be used in a swap deal with Paul Pogba.
