Dani Ceballos has insisted on his desire to play for Real Madrid as his loan spell at Arsenal nears an end.
Real Madrid spent €18 million to secure the services of Ceballos from Real Betis in the summer of 2017, but having Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Isco in the roster made it difficult for the Spain international to get game time.
He was then sent off on loan to Arsenal last summer, where he was doing well before suffering a hamstring injury in December.
Arsenal is yet to communicate on whether they would want to keep Ceballos, but his heart seems to be in Madrid.
“I have not spoken to [Zinedine] Zidane, he is now focused on his players,” Ceballos told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.
“When my loan contract ends I will be a Real Madrid player again. My goal is to succeed there.”
The 23-year-old has however never been a favorite of manager Zidane, and it is likely that he will move elsewhere or stay with the Gunners.
