Gael Kakuta is reportedly on the radar of Middle East clubs after his club, Amiens, was relegated from Ligue 1.
The Congolese international has also been linked with a move French sides Lens and lately Strasbourg.
However, French sports newspaper L'Equippe reports that the Dubai-based Shabaab Al Ahli has already tabled a bid in the region of £2.5 million and hope to lure Kakuta to the Gulf in summer.
Amiens, however, have indicated that Kakuta can't leave the club if the deal is below £5.5 million.
It is not, however, clear whether the 28-year-old wants to remain in France or seek another challenge abroad. The midfielder has shown flashes of brilliance last season, notably, during the 4-4 draw with PSG where he recorded a goal and two assists.
Sources close to the player indicates that he is looking for stability and predictability in his career, which might mean that he will be willing to stay at Amiens.
