Five Ghanaian players could face relegation with clubs as the La Liga season anticipates its return following the suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Defenders Lumor Agbenyenu and Rahman Baba, as well as midfielder Iddrisu Baba, are on the verge of relegation with Real Mallorca who are currently 18th on the log.

Mallorca had managed two wins in their last four games before the season was suspended and now they face the ultimate challenge when they host Barcelona.

Rahman Baba has been dealt with injury woes and had hoped to revive his career when he made the switch to Spain.

He was on the sidelines for two months in September 2019 after he he tore a ligament in his right knee and he won't be available for selection when the league resumes.

Joseph Aidoo who has made 23 appearances for Celta Vigo is also facing the possibility of relegation as his side find themselves sitting 17th on the La Liga standings.

Celta Vigo will be ready to hit the ground running and change their fortune when they welcome Villarreal on Saturday.

Real Valladolid have had the best defensive record this season but that hasn't changed the fact that they are 15th on the log and they could face the drop.

Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Salisu has been a key feature for the side while being at the centre of transfer speculation.

Real Valladolid will make the trip to Leganes on Saturday as they hope to secure three points away from home.
