Real Madrid will most likely miss the services of Lucas Vázquez for the better part of the remaining season due to a muscular issue.
The winger was set to feature for Los Blancos in Saturday's 3-1 win over Eibar but was ruled out with a seemingly minor injury.
However, following tests at the club’s training ground on Monday, the officials confirmed he is set for time on the sidelines with a muscle injury.
"Following the tests carried out today on our player, Lucas Vázquez, by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with a soleus muscle injury in his right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed," read a statement on the club's official website.

Coach Zinedine Zidane will hope to have the player back soon, as he needs a fit squad for the grueling LaLiga battle with fierce rivals Barcelona.
Their next assignment is another home match against Valencia on Thursday, before a crunch fixture against Real Sociedad over the weekend.
Following the Sunday night win against Eibar, the Los Blancos lie second on 59 points, two behind their bitter rivals Barcelona.
