Nigeria’s Ighalo could win a second Goal of the Month award within seven months since joining the Red Devils.
While Ighalo scooped the accolade in March for his beauty against LASK in the UEFA Europa League, his karate-like finish against Norwich City last week could bring home another top recognition.
“He's [Ighalo] up for nomination again after his Zlatan-esque finish in the Emirates FA Cup at Carrow Road,” wrote Man United on their website.
“The Nigerian had his back towards goal when the chance arose but, sensing no-one was within two yards of him, cleverly angled out a right boot to send the ball into the net, beyond Tim Krul.
“There was nothing I could do, I can’t control the ball there and can’t do anything but just hit with my side foot,” said Odion.
“I did and, luckily, it went in. It was too close for the goalkeeper to do anything. As the ball went in, I was very happy but I watched the linesman, who did not raise his flag. When I saw it after the game, I even had two guys behind me so I was not offside.”

Up next for United is the visit of Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
