🇷🇼 Rayon Sports part ways with former AFC Leopards coach Cassa Mbungo

Former AFC Leopards head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo has parted ways with Rwandese giants Rayon Sports after the club failed to renew his six months’ contract.

Mbungo joined Sports in February this year after a stint with Leopards that had ended due to unpaid dues with the club elevating his assistant Anthony Kimani to the role of the head coach.

Mbungo had arrived at Ingwe in February 2019 after stints with Police FC in his native Rwanda this after a short stint with the Rwandese national team.

He leaves Rayon having led them to the CAF Confederations Cup spot this after helping them to second in a season that was won by APR.

In his place, the club confirmed that they had roped in the services of Guy Bukasa who won the Coupe du Congo title in 2018; the tactician tasked with leading the team until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Congolese Bukasa, who also serves as the assistant coach of the Congolese national team ‘Les Leopards’, joins from Rayon rivals Gasogi United.
