Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace as Juventus cemented their place at the top of Serie A with a 2-2 draw against Atalanta on Saturday.
Atalanta who are having a brilliant season both domestically and in the Champions League shocked the hosts when Duván Zapata gave them a deserved lead after 16 minutes after latching on to Papu Gomez’s pass as they took a first-half lead.
Ronaldo, however, drew the hosts level ten minutes after resumption through Ronaldo from the penalty spot. With the game headed for a draw, Atalanta was to regain their lead ten minutes from time when substitute Ruslan Malinovskiy.
The Ukrainian midfielder smashed a pile driver to stun the home side but Ronaldo was in hand to bundled a second penalty with the last minute of the game after Luis Muriel had handled the ball in the penalty area.
In other matches of the day, Lazio's title dream suffered yet another setback on Saturday as Francesco Caputo's injury-time header grabbed Sassuolo a 2-1 victory at the Stadio Olimpico.
In Brescia, goals from Federico Fazio, Nikola Kalinic and Nicoo Zniolo ensured Roma went home with the entire points as they seek to make it to the Champions League next season.
Roma is now placed fifth on the log with 54 points; eleven points below Inter Milan who in the last Champions League slot.
