The French midfielder has struggled to nail down a starting place in Barcelona this season finding himself behind teenage sensation Ansu Fati in the pecking order.
Deschamps now believes that Griezmann loss of form is temporary and that he will be back on top of his game in due time.
“His situation does not worry me. I have no doubt over his abilities. They are inarguable. All players have a period in a first year at a new club where things are maybe a bit more difficult. He has the mentality to deal with it,” he told French TV RTL.
The 29-year-old World Cup winner has had a dismal stay at Barcelona with only 15 goals scored in 46 appearances.
Griezmann is unlikely to feature again this season after picking an injury last week.
Real Madrid have edged a point clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand, but a door remains open to Barca.
