News out of England and Spain reports that Mohammed Salusi will be named Southampton’s new defender soon.
The Ghanaina and Real Valladolid central defender caught the English club’s eye after a stunning season in La Liga where he completed 31 games aged 21.
The reports say Salisu first agreed on a four-year contract before successfully passing his medical test and the move is now subject to an official announcement.
“Mohammed Salisu has passed his medicals ahead of his impending move to English Premier League side Southampton, according to Football Insider,” reported GhanaSoccerNet.
“The 21-year old has agreed terms with the Saints and will sign a four year deal, after the club triggered his 12 million Euros release clause. Mohammed took the necessary physical examination in Spain and is awaiting a work permit to be completed.
