Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed the club has reached an agreement with Manchester United over a permanent deal for Alexis Sanchez, with the announcement expected on Thursday morning.
Moratta was speaking to Sky Sport Italia ahead of Inter’s Europa League clash against Getafe on Wednesday night.
“It will be made official tomorrow, he is all but a full Inter player now. We have a three-year contract with him, we believe in him and in the fact that he can be an important member of this team.” said Moratta.
The Chilean will however take a considerable pay cut from his £560,000-a-week deal at United to £130,000-a-week after tax.
The latest development is set to end his nightmarish life at Old Trafford, where he failed to replicate the same form that saw him become one of the best players in the Premier League at Arsenal.
During the period, the 31-year-old scored just five goals in 45 games, before joining Inter on loan last summer.
