Willian's imminent departure means Chelsea will have a new number 10 this coming season.
The Brazilian took over the jersey at the start of the current season, following Eden Hazard's move to Real Madrid.
The winger announced on Sunday that he was leaving the club, after failing to agree on fresh terms, with all set for his move to London rivals Arsenal.
"They were seven wonderful years. In August 2013 when I received the offer from Chelsea, I was convinced that this was where I had to play," he wrote in his farewell message.
"Today I am certain that it was the best of decisions. There were so many happy times, some sad, there were trophies and it was always very intense.
"The time has now come to move on. I am certainly going to miss my teammates. I will miss all the staff at the club who’ve always treated me like a son and I will miss the fans. I leave with my head held high, safe in the knowledge that I won things here and always did my best in a Chelsea shirt!
"My heartfelt thanks go out to all of you and God bless you!"
So, ahead of his departure, who will inherit his shirt?
🏴 Callum Hudson-Odoi
The winger was interested in taking over the number from Hazard last season, and at one point was said to be one of the demands as his camp negotiated a new deal. In the end, Willian was given the shirt as one of the senior-most players.
With the number once again vacant, Hudson-Odoi, who hasn't had a good season will definitely fancy his chances of finally donning the shirt.
🇲🇦 Hakim Ziyech
The new arrival has been one of the most creative players in Europe in the last couple of seasons and would relish the chance to wear the most famous jersey at Stamford Bridge.
He has worn the shirt before at Ajax FC Twente and Heerenveen. Can he convince Lampard and company to hand him the shirt?
🇺🇸 Christian Pulisic
The young American has been one of the best players for the Blues this season, particularly after the restart.
He has worn it with the USA national team and might be keen to wear it for the first time at the club level.
🏴 Mason Mount
He has been an ever-present figure for Lampard in his first season in charge, playing in the creative hole behind the striker or at times pushed to the wing.
He has worn the number 10 shirt with the youth team, both at the club and international level and would be one of the candidates. Is it time, or he will have to wait a little longer?
🇩🇪 Kai Havertz
Well, Chelsea are yet to signing the German, but the deal looks imminent. His number 29 shirt, which he wears for Bayer Leverkusen is currently with Fikayo Tomori at Chelsea, meaning he will have to get a different number unless the defender decides to free his.
Can he get the number 10 once the deal is done? only time will tell.
