Leeds United target Torino defender Lyanco after missing out on Jonathan David

Premier League returnees Leeds United have reportedly registered their interest in Torino defender Lyanco whose current value is rated at €7m.

According to Portuguese publication O Jogo, Sporting Lisbon were interested in a deal but failed to reach an agreement as Torino were demanding €10 million (£9m) for their player.

Leeds have the financial means as opposed to Lisbon and could use that to their advantage in their quest for the 23-year-old's services.

Bologna and Lille are also monitoring Lyanco's movements but both sides have not made any official offers.

Lyanco registered 18 appearances across all competitions last season and it is rather ideal for him to forge a move to a club that will guarantee him game time competitions.

He is eligible to play for Brazil and Serbia on the international front while he has been capped for the Serbia U19 and Brazil U20 and U23 teams.
