Aston Villa are reportedly linked with a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez as they look to bolster their goalkeeping department.
Villa manager Dean Smith was hit with a crisis after his first-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton picked up an in injury back in January and had to bring in Pepe Reina as a backup to Orjan Nyland.
Reina has already left the club following the conclusion of his loan deal and Heaton has still not made a full recovery.
According to The Independent, Villa are considering a £10million bid for Martinez who stepped up to the plate at the end of last season after Bernd Leno suffered an injury.
The 27-year-old enjoyed some decent game time with 23 appearances across all competitions and he was in impressive in goals which helped contribute to Arsenal winning the FA Cup trophy.
Martinez has previously played for Wolves, Getafe and Reading on loan.
