Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has left out midfielder Dele Alli for their upcoming Europa League tie against Bulgarian outfit Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Thursday.
Alli is one of the eight players who have been left out of the tie with defender Toby Alderwerield also not travelling.
There have been rumours of a rift between the English midfielder and Mourinho but Spurs have not released any statement towards the decision to drop the former MK Dons man.
Reports emerged that Alli and Mourinho clashed before their Premier League defeat to Everton at the weekend, a match that saw the 24-year-old substituted at half time.
The moves come at a time when the club has been linked with the re-signing of winger Gareth Bale from Real Madrid with the club said to have agreed on a fee with the Laliga giants for full-back Sergio Reguilon.
There are beliefs that Alli might be used as part of the deal to bring in Bale but nothing concrete has been on the table yet for such a deal to happen.
