Youssoufa Moukoko is still only 15 years old but we're pretty sure that his name is going to become famous around the world before long.
Born in Yaounde, Cameroon, Moukoko has represented Germany at various youth levels. He spent the first 10 years of his life living with his grandparents in Cameroon's capital city before joining his father, a German citizen since the 1990s, in Hamburg in the summer of 2014.
🎨 Style & stature
Moukoko is 5'10" so he's not exactly a giant and often he faces defenders that tower over him. So he uses his relatively low centre of gravity and laser-sharp control to gain an advantage. As his stats suggest, he's absolutely clinical in front of goal, tucking away chances with his surgical left foot.
He has netted 127 goals and provided 26 assists in 84 games for BVB at U17 and U19 levels combined. For the U19s, his record is 34 goals and nine assists in 21 games, which surely indicates that he's too good for the youth setup and is ready to make the step up.
🎁 The present
Moukoko will be eligible for the Dortmund 1st team from 20 November 2020 when he turns 16. He scored a hat-trick on Sunday for the U19s and wore the captain's armband too.
🐝 What does Erling Håland say?
"Moukoko's much better than I was at his age. I've never seen such a good 15-year-old in my life. The advantage for him is that he's already playing for Dortmund at the age of 15. At his age, I was still playing for my home town of Bryne."
What a talent this kid looks to be. Youssoufa Moukoko, remember the name.
