Chelsea FC debutant Thiago Silva has entered into the wrong history books of the Premier League after his erroneous outing against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday night.
The Brazilian was handed his Premier League debut on Saturday with the former PSG man being handed the captain’s armband but he had an evening to forget.
Silva slipped while in possession of the ball to gift Callum Robinson his second goal of the evening and West Brom’s third goal of the day.
Chelsea were 3-0 down after just 28 minutes of the match after Robinson's brace and Kyle Bartley's goal. Cesar Azpilicueta was introduced at half-time, with Silva relinquishing the armband; his introduction leading to a comeback from the visitors who managed to claw the hosts to a draw.
