English Premier League side Everton is in talks with Chelsea FC for the services of defender Kurt Zouma.
Zouma has previously been at Everton on a loan deal in the 2018/19 season but according to French publication Le10sport, Everton is keen on bringing Zouma back to Goodison Park on a permanent basis before the close of the window.
The tussle has been on the fee of the defender with The Blues demanding around £36.5 million for the player who is being considered surplus to requirements at the club.
Apart from Zouma, Everton has been linked with Chelsea's Tomori although the Carlo Ancelotti side was keen on a loan deal for the England international.
Both Zouma and Tomori have fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Thiago Silva with Lampard already having Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Everton wants reinforcement in defence after injuries to Jarrad Branthwaite and Mason Holgate with Michael Keane and Yerry Mina the only fit first-team players available in the position.
Apart from Everton, Zouma is attracting interest from Leicester City with the player’s agent confident that his client will move from Chelsea before the current window shuts.
