English Premier League newbies Leeds United are on the verge of sealing a move for Rennes striker Raphinha.
There have been reports that the deal is already done according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira with the player set to sign a four-year deal worth £21 million (including add-ons).
The player had been linked with Championship side Derby County too but the chance to play in the English Premier League with the player set to be unveiled officially after the international break according to those reports.
The Brazilian will add to Leeds strike force which already has Patrick Bamford and Spain international Rodrigo Moreno; the former preferred as the club’s main striker.
Apart from being a target man, Raphinha can also play on both wings; an attribute that made him an attractive option for Marcelo Bielsa as he continues boosting his squad.
The player has two assists in five league games thus far this season for his team after ending last season with seven goals and three assists in 30 appearances.
Raphinha’s best return to date came in 2017-18 when he bagged 15 goals in 32 league games for Vitoria Guimaraes.
