Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed that defender Juan Foyth has joined Laliga side, Villarreal, on a season-long loan.
The player, however, has signed a new three-year deal with the London based club having joined the club from Estudiantes in 2017.
In a statement, Spurs said: “Juan Foyth has signed a new contract with the Club until 2023 and joined Spanish side Villarreal on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
“The 22-year-old Argentina international defender joined us from Estudiantes in August 2017, and has made 32 appearances in our colours to date, scoring once.”
