Brazil could be without their talismanic forward Neymar for Friday's World Cup qualifier against Bolivia after the Paris Saint-Germain ace exited Wednesday's training early with back pains.
The team's doctor Rodrigo Lasmar later told journalists that it was early to say whether or not he will be available for the clash, but he was being monitored.
"Neymar felt pain in his lower back in training today. He was removed from training, evaluated, and started physical therapy. We'll travel today to Sao Paulo and he will stay under treatment and medication," Lasmar said.
"The next 24 hours will be important to see how he will recover. A new evaluation will be done before training and then we will have a slightly better idea on his status for the game."
His absence might be a huge blow for the Selecao, who have already lost Alisson Becker and Gabriel Jesus to injuries.
The former World Cup winners host Bolivia on Friday, before playing away to Peru on 14 October.
