Gernot Rohr says he will be keen on how new Super Eagles players will perform when they take on Algeria and Tunisia.
Nigeria will play be up against Algeria and Tunisia in friendly matches and ahead of the clash, the Super Eagles will be without a number of key players. Wilfried Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Victor Osimhen, and Jose Aribo will the players absent for the two friendlies.
In their recent encounter last year, Nigeria suffered a 2-1 loss to Algeria and Rohr says his focus will be on how new players perform rather than seeking revenge.
"I want to see our new players, I want to see good football. The two games will be interesting and its a good test for us," he said as quoted by the brila.net.
"It is neither a friendly nor a revenge game. It is a preparation, test game where we try out new players and we have a new midfield.
"We’re missing three of our best midfielders and we have to see how the new boys blend in & still play beautiful football," he added.
Nigeria will battle it out with Algeria this Friday at the Worthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt in Austria.
