Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has given his verdict on how the club has performed during the concluded summer transfer window.
United managed to secure the signings of midfielder Donny van de Beek, Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani, and 18-year-old Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo. Club's supporters were far from satisfaction as United missed out on No.1 target Jadon Sancho who remained at Borussia Dortmund.
However, Matic has a different view of the transfer business as he insists the club managed to sign 'quality players'.
"We’ve signed quality players, so we will see what they can bring to our team," said Matic.
"We're happy to see them. Hopefully, they can fit very well in our team and they can win some trophies with us."
One of the controversial signings United had is the arrival of free agent Edinson Cavani, who joined late on the deadline day but Matic hailed the Uruguayan.
"I played against him a few times. A great player, a great player."
"Very experienced. He scores goals, always. So I hope he will continue to do the same job for us."
"We're always excited to see somebody come in and, of course, it's always good to see new faces in the team, especially when we sign the quality players like we did. So I'm happy."
