🔴 Manchester United players who could still leave before transfer deadline

Despite the transfer window being closed, movements in the Premier League could still happen.

With Manchester United having signed four players in the window, they need to offload some of their own to reduce the wage bill and create space for the new faces.

But who would the club offload before other windows shut?

  • Phil Jones

Jones was omitted from United’s Champions League squad meaning he is considered as a surplus to requirements at the club. He was set to go for an operation but the club was against the move as they looked for suitors.  A move to the Championship has been muted.

  • Sergio Romero

Despite being a good servant to the team, Romero has expressed his displeasure through the wife at how the club has treated him after the return of Dean Henderson from Sheffield United.

He is another player who has been omitted from the Champions League squad and despite being linked with a move to Everton and Aston Villa-both which fell through-he is currently being linked with a move to the MLS.

  • Marcos Rojo

Rojo has trained away from the first-team squad in a secure bubble in case of a transfer abroad all summer but unsurprisingly remains at United with his suitors afraid of handing him a deal due to his wage demands.

A return to Estudiantes could be on the cards but latest reports indicate that he might be shipped on loan to his previous stations at Spartak Moscow or Sporting Lisbon.

  • Jesse Lingard

Linked with a move to AC Milan, Lingard just as Rojo demands huge wages at United and it has become a huge brainer for clubs to match their demands. The player looks to stay at United following Andreas Pereira move to Lazio. FC Porto remains his best possible destination after links to Spurs were quashed following the closure of the window for Premier League teams.

  • Brandon Williams

The player is attracting a lot of suitors who are willing to take him on a loan deal. The 20-year-old enjoyed a successful breakthrough season at Old Trafford but now looks well down the pecking order following the arrival of Alex Telles. He is being linked with a move to Southampton.
