Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said what many Odion Ighalo fans will love to hear.
While the Nigerian star has clearly struggled to find regular appearances since his loan move from China last season, Ighalo’s fans grew more concerned when the striker did not get an appearance despite the absence of Anothony Martial and Mason Greenwood in last weekend’ 4-1 win over Newcastle.
With Edinson Cavani also coming into the club this month, is Ighalo struggling to adapt? Is he firmly in the plans?
Manager Solskjaer believes so: “As a club, we always want to get players in and also give them time to adapt.
“We had some very good performances by Odion and he is still a very important part of the club,” added the Norwegian boss.
Up next for United is PSG in a UEFA Champions League Group D game in Paris on Tuesday night.
