Lucas Torreira, who is on loan at Atletico Madrid has revealed he and his family suffered 'a lot of personal problems' during his time at the Emirates.
Earlier this month, Torreira completed his season-long loan to Atletico Madrid from Arsenal. This came after the Uruguayan fell down the pecking order under head coach Mikel Arteta. And the midfielder has now revealed how he was going through a number of problems at Arsenal and is hoping to stay with the LaLiga club where he has 'been treated well' since his arrival in the summer.
Speaking to Uruguayan outlet Ovacion, the midfielder said, "I've suffered a lot of things, I had a lot of personal problems and more than anything my family also suffered.
"I know that I am a year on loan. But I've been here for four or five days and it seems like it's a lot, because I've been treated very well."
The 24-year-old has made 89 appearances for the Gunners since signing from Serie A side Sampdoria ahead of the 2018/19 season.
