Former England defender Danny Mills says Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will regret freezing out Mesut Ozil.
Ozil was not included in Arsenal's 25-man Premier League squad, this came after he was omitted from the Europa League team. The 32-year-old has not featured for the north London side since March this year despite attending training sessions with the rest of the squad. There were reports that the midfielder was frozen out due to his stand of not accepting the pay cut but Arteta strongly dismissed the claims.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mills said, "I think he will."
"Ozil is a fantastic player. You might not start him every week, and he might not do for 90 minutes, but why not have him to bring on for 25 minutes? Surely you have to have a player of that quality. And if you don't, you've got to look at the manager."
"Why isn't he getting the player on board to adapt to what he wants you to do? There has to be more to it than solely footballing reasons."
