Feyenoord technical director Frank Arnesen has hit out at Ajax for paying a massive amount to FC Nordsjaelland for the services of Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus joined Ajax during the recently wrapped-up summer transfer window for a fee of €9 million and Arnesen believes clubs should making money from selling their players than paying lump sums to secure them.
He insists that there is more value when a club is bringing in funds that distributing them.
"I've known him for three years," said Arnesen. "But nine million, that's not possible. Simple."
"But that is not my approach. Within Feyenoord there are people who do that", he points to general manager Mark Koevermans and the supervisory board.
"That's what they're about, not me." Laughing: "Would I like to? For me, it is always good if more money comes."
