The Brazil Football Federation has given a fresh update on the Covid state of defender Alex Telles.
Telles is yet to feature in a Premier League game for Manchester United since arriving on deadline day from FC Porto and according to Brazil, the player is now available for his country in their match against Uruguay.
This come after United released a statement on Monday stating that the medical staff at Carrington were monitoring Telles’ situation with the national team.
“The defender already had the disease, was asymptomatic and with the non-transmissible condition of the virus, but he could not travel to Uruguay.
“On the last exam, however, Telles’ test came back negative and the defender was released for the game,” the statement noted.
The news is a welcome boost for United who will be without Luke Shaw for the next month with the club's other option being in youngster Brandon Williams.
