Ajax defender Per Schuurs has rebuffed reports that he might join English Premier League defending champions Liverpool in January.
The 21-year-old has been one of the players linked with Liverpool in recent weeks with the club keen to address their defensive problems following the long term injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
Speaking to he told SBS6, after Tuesday's match against the Reds, Schuurs said: "I hear and read it (Liverpool rumours) too.
"It's my first season as a basic player at Ajax. I want to play here for a few more seasons and win prizes. I'm not really working on that yet."
Apart from Schuurs, the other defenders that have been linked with a January move to Liverpool include Turkey and Schalke’s Ozan Kabak, Ben White of Brighton and Hove Albion, David Alaba of Bayern Munich and Conor Coardy of Wolves.
