Nigeria and Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has looked beyond his return to China.

The 31-year-old Ighalo is set to fly back to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua when his loan spell at Manchester United ends month end.

While Shanghai is a leading club in the lucrative Chinese Super League, Ighalo nevertheless feels an attraction to America’s Major Soccer League (MLS).

“I have been watching MLS and the league is doing well and I would like to play in the MLS," he told ESPN as reported by Goal

"I have to wait for offers and if the opportunity arises, I will take it because the league is doing well and it is a good life and I would love it.

"Lots of players go there. Even Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus is there, also Giovanni dos Santos. Why not? I would like to go there if an opportunity arises. Being an experienced player, going there, doing well. It is an opportunity if it comes for me.

"The David Beckham club [Inter Miami] is growing, so if an opportunity arises why not?"

The former Watford striker, who leaves Manchester with five goals and one assist in 23games, concluded to review his stay at the Red Devils.

In the meantime, United have a chance to take a six-point Premier League summit lead at Anfield on Sunday.
