Former Chelsea boss Avram Grant says he hasn't received any official approach from the Blues amid reports linking him with a return.
Earlier in the week, reports suggested that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic is keen to bring Grant back in a role on Frank Lampard's staff. The pressure is mounting on Lampard as they find themselves ninth on the log despite a heavy summer spending spree.
"I read the links in the media connecting me with a return to Chelsea and I had so many positive messages from Chelsea fans on Instagram. Thank you," he posted on Instagram.
"But I must say I didn’t receive any official approach from the club. I can only repeat what I said lately about the situation at Chelsea. Be strong, look for a solution and what everybody needs now is time. It is good for Frank, I believe that he will do the job well, and it’s good for the club."
Grant managed Chelsea for one season in 2007/08 season after he was originally appointed in the director of the football role.
