Antonio Conte's Inter charges produced a scintillating display in the Derby della Madonnina to make a big title statement on Sunday.
Here's how we rated their players.
🇸🇮 Samir Handanović - 8.5
Made a trio of brilliant saves in quick succession at the start of the second half to preserve Inter's 1-0 lead at the time, right when Milan was coming back into the contest. Outstanding from the skipper when his team needed him.
🇸🇰 Milan Škriniar - 8
Stood up well to the physical challenge posed by Zlatan, and came out firmly on top of that personal duel.
🇳🇱 Stefan de Vrij - 7
The Dutchman was a sturdy influence in the centre of Inter's defence, alongside the more aggressive and physical Skriniar.
🇮🇹 Alessandro Bastoni - 7.5
Neat and tidy on the ball, the 21-year-old is a massively exciting prospect for Inter and Italy alike.
🇲🇦 Achraf Hakimi - 7.5
Dovetailed nicely with Barella and surged forward to good effect as is now customary for the attack-minded Moroccan. Heavily involved in the second goal which broke Milan's backs. Picked up an early booking but adjusted his approach well after that.
🇮🇹 Nicolò Barella - 8
Caused problems for Milan all day, combining with Hakimi and Lukaku down Inter's right. Energetic, explosive and comfortable carrying the ball over long distances, Barella has all of the tools required of a top-class box-to-box player. Now 24, he looks set for a starring role for club and country for years to come.
🇭🇷 Marcelo Brozović - 7.5
One of the most underrated players in Serie A, Croatian star Brozovic produced another complete box-to-box midfield display. Got his side moving well in the first period, but had to defend more in the second as Milan grew into the game.
🇩🇰 Christian Eriksen - 7.5
After initially battling to settle in Italy, the Danish playmaker looks much more comfortable and is thriving alongside Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella in the engine room for Inter. Stylish and economical on the ball, and linked up well with the attackers.
🇭🇷 Ivan Perišić - 8
The versatile Croatian has developed a reputation for producing big performances in big games and he was on hand again here, providing two assists from a modified left wing-back role. Time and time again it was Perišić who produced overloads on that flank, especially in the first period Inter dominated the contest.
🇧🇪 Romelu Lukaku - 8.5
A constant thorn in Milan's side with his pace, power and hold-up play. Rewarded with a goal that his efforts richly deserved. That's 17 goals & five assists now in 22 Serie A appearances this term for the brilliant Belgian. Sublime cross for Martínez's headed opener.
🇦🇷 Lautaro Martínez - 9
The 23-year-old Argentine's smart positional play made this an occasion to forget for Milan's central defenders who simply couldn't cope with the talented number 10. Relentless with his work and off-the-ball movement.
Antonio Conte's side now leads the way in Serie A by four points with 15 matches to play. With no European distractions, the Nerazzurri are now firm favourites to lift the Scudetto for the first time since 2010.
