Aston Villa once again struggled in a Premier League game after going down to a 10-man Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
The Dean Smith side who have been chasing a European place were given an advantage early in the second half when defender Phil Jagielka was sent off but it was the hosts who held on to take home all the three points with David McGoldrick scoring the all-important goal.
With the loss, Villa became the first side to lose three straight away Premier League games against the side starting the day in 20th since Fulham in November 2018 (4).
The good news about the outing is that Leicester went on to win the Premier League title the next season after their 2015 win against Villa something that should give Chris Wilder some hope in their survival hopes.
