The Spanish national team head coach Luis Enrique is set to hand FC Barcelona youngster Pedri his first international call-up.
Enrique is set to name his team on Monday ahead of their triple-header against Greece, Georgia, and Kosovo later this month with a number of new faces set to be handed a chance according to Spanish portal Marca.
Apart from Pedri, his Barca teammate Jordi Alba is also expected to return, alongside Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso and AS Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez after injury saw them miss out in 2020.
Pedri has enjoyed an excellent breakthrough La Liga campaign at the Catalan giants making 26 league appearances so far in 2020/21 with the 18-year-old set to be included in the national team squad for the upcoming Euros should he impress in the games.
🇪🇸 ❗ As of now, Spain U21 coach Luis De La Fuente is clear that on Monday he will not be able to count on Pedri for the 1st phase of the European under 21 Championship.
