England U21 suffered last-minute heartbreak as they were knocked out of the ongoing Euro tournament in Slovakia despite beating Croatia 2-1.
The Young Lions needed to win with at least a two-goal margin against the Croats, and for a moment seemed to be well on course, before a 92nd-minute cracker dimmed their hopes.
Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eche had given England the lead from the penalty spot in the 12th minute before Curtis Jones doubled their lead with 15 minutes to go.
Croatia however halved the scores courtesy of a Bradaric stunner deep in injury time, which knocked Aidy Boothroyd's side out.
England started their campaign on the wrong footing, losing 2-0 against Switzerland, before a similar loss to Portugal in their second match.
The third match was crucial for the Three Lions, and Portugal did them a favour by beating Switzerland 3-0 in the other match.
Meanwhile, France, Denmark, Croatia and Portugal have all booked a place in the next round.
