Carlo Ancelotti has revealed Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will resume training in ten days and will return to the starting XI against Brighton on Monday, April 12th.
Pickford suffered an injury to his oblique abdominal muscle last month during Everton's 2-1 loss to Burnley last month. The goalkeeper missed Toffees FA Cup clash with Manchester City and the most recent international break. There have been fears he could miss the summer's European Championship but Ancelotti says the injury won't scupper his hopes of taking part in the competition.
"No absolutely not," he said when asked if Pickford's injury could threaten his place in England's Euro 2020 squad.
"No, no problem for the Euros," he added.
The England international has been Gareth Southgate's No.1 in recent years and will be fighting to keep that spot when this summer's delayed Euros take place.
According to the schedule laid, the 27-year-old would be involved in 10 days' time.
