Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has revealed that he has plans on returning to the English Premier League.
Benitez's last work was with the Chinese side Dalian Professional where he left at the start of the year with rumors rife that he might be reconsidered by Newcastle United in the summer.
Speaking to Marca on his future plans, the Spaniard said: “I’ve already received more than one (offer) in the last few months, but it wasn’t the right time or project. I needed to spend time with my family.
“I want to find a club with ambition, one either competing for titles or looking for a serious project that will lead to that later. I always say that the key to success is balance-both on the pitch between defence and attack, but also in the management of the club.
“My experiences with Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle have all been very enjoyable and for that reason, my priority is the Premier League. My family is in England and it’s the most complete league, but I can’t rule out leaving. As I said if there’s a well-defined project with objectives.”
Benitez's last job in the Premier League came with Newcastle where he did exemplary work despite having a tight budget. There have been reports that the club might pat ways with Steve Bruce who is currently under immense pressure to keep them afloat in the English top flight.
