Liverpool keen to sign Ozan Kabak on a permanent deal

Ozan Kabak is expected to join Liverpool on a permanent basis this summer.

The Reds signed the 21-year-old center-back on loan from Schalke 04 in January, and he has been a regular since then, making nine appearances in all competitions.

Kabak is currently set to return to his parent club in June, but the reigning Premier League champions have the option of making him a permanent signing.

Jurgen Klopp's side have been impressed by the defender's results this season, according to 90min, and are able to exercise their buy option at the end of the season.

According to the article, Liverpool paid a £1.5 million loan fee for Kabak, but would have to pay Schalke an additional £18 million to sign the Turkey international on a long-term basis.

The Reds are also rumored to be interested in signing Ibrahima Konate of RB Leipzig.
