Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says the club needs stability as they aim to have a good transfer this summer.
Speaking ahead of Friday's clash against Everton, Arteta has revealed Arsenal have planned for a number of different scenarios this summer. It is not yet known if the Gunners will be participating in the European competition next season, an outcome which could affect the club's recruitment process.
"Uncertainty has probably been the most common thing since I Joined and with all the things that have happened," he said.
"I just want, I just need a good pre-season with a fair squad, after a good transfer window, with our fans in the stadium and give it a real go and see how we can compete," he added Arteta.
"This is what the team needs. A bit of stability from top to bottom and normal circumstances to put the work that we want to put in place, and then evaluate what we can do."
On Ceballos and Odegaard future plans
"Our obligation is to plan ahead, to have different scenarios and we are all doing that with every member of the club and every player because we need to know where we are heading and with who."
