Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce says he is determined to keep a hold of Allan Saint-Maximin amid reports linking him with exit.
Saint-Maximin has been in fine form for Newcastle this season and has been linked with a move to Manchester United. The Frenchman helped the Magpies win two of their last four matches since returning from a groin injury.
Bruce has issued a hands-off message over the 24-year-old, who signed a new deal in October last year.
"Look, the last thing we want to be doing is selling our best players. For Allan himself, he needs to find consistency, as in staying well and staying fit," he said.
"Covid hit him badly, but you can see when he’s playing and he’s playing injury-free, then he is a special, special talent, which inevitably will draw interest, of course. “But the last thing we want to be doing is selling our better players."
Allan Saint-Maximin's contract with Magpies is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
