Bruno Fernandes broke another Manchester United and Premier League record in the club’s win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Portugal international once again scored a penalty to draw United leveled in the game with the spot-kick seeing him enter the United and Premier League history books.
The penalty was Bruno’s 13th of the season with no player has scored more in the club’s history in one season according to stats from ESPN. The player who joined the club in January 2020 has now scored 21 penalties in his 76 appearances.
With Fernandes bagging 39 goals in that time, it means more than half of his goals for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have come via the penalty spot.
The penalty on Sunday was the 113th spot-kick in the Premier League this season – the most during a season in the competition's history. The previous record of 112 came during the 2006-07 campaign.
