Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has told a section of his players that he wants to leave the club in the summer.
Marca reports that the Frenchman made his players aware of his decision last Saturday, after the Champions League elimination against Chelsea and before their Laliga clash against Sevilla.
This news was reported by Fernando Burgos on Onda Cero who confirmed that the meeting took place on that Saturday, on May 8.
Zidane is said to have admitted that he has thought long and hard about his decision and it is final and would like a new challenge after winning almost everything with the club.
Zidane has been on his second stint with Madrid and his departure won’t come as a surprise after leaving the club in 2018.
"There are times when you need to be there and times when you have to leave for the good of all," the World Cup winner said after their game against Atletico Madrid in the previous weeks.
