Laliga giants FC Barcelona want Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana back at the club.
The Cameroonian who is currently serving a 12-month ban doping suspension, which will run to December, though an appeal is scheduled to be heard in June came through the ranks of Barca and is highly rated at the club.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Barca is watching developments closely, with director Ramon Planes and goalkeeper coach José Ramón de la Fuente in regular contact with Onana's minders.
Barcelona re in the market for a keeper after it was revealed that backup keeper Neto is set to leave the club in the summer. There is a feeling too that Ter Stegen doesn’t have a proper competition and the entrance of Onana will force him to up his game.
It is not the first time Onana is being linked with a return to Barcelona with the same having had happened last summer when the future of Te-Stegen was a subject of speculation before the German signed a new deal.
Apart from Barcelona, there is a chunk of teams in Europe who have been linked with Onana with Arsenal being one of them.
