🚨 BREAKING: Roma sign Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio

Premier League side Wolverhampton has confirmed goalkeeper Rui Patricio has joined AS Roma for an undisclosed fee.

"Wolves can confirm Rui Patricio has joined Serie A outfit Roma for an undisclosed fee," a statement from the club read.

Patricio's move to Roma marks the end of his three-year stay at Wolves, having played an important role in helping the club achieve their most successful top-flight seasons for 40 years.

The Portuguese joins the Italian club for an initial fee of €11.5 million where he has signed a three-year contract with the club that runs until 30 June 2024.

"Roma is a big club and a new challenge and I’m excited to try and help the club achieve its targets," Patricio told the club's official website.

"In José Mourinho, we are talking about one of the greatest coaches in the world and I am excited to start working with him and doing everything I can to help the team."

The goalkeeper becomes Roma's first summer signing and will wear the No. 1 shirt at Roma.
