Arsenal could make a move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara this summer if their pursuit of other prospects in that area of the field proves fruitless.
The Gunners are rumored to be interested in signing at least one central midfielder in the current transfer window, with Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton Wanderers being a top target.
However, according to GiveMeSport, the North London club has dropped behind Manchester United in the fight for the Portuguese international, and Mikel Arteta's side is considering other options.
Kamara, who was linked with Arsenal earlier this year, is still a target for the London club ahead of the 2021-22 season, according to the source.
Between 2012 and 2017, the 25-year-old played for the Gunners, but only made one first-team appearance before departing for Dundee.
Kamara scored twice and added two assists in 51 games for Rangers during the 2020-21 season, including three for Finland at Euro 2020.
