πŸ”΄ Reports: Man United identify two back-up signings if Pogba leaves

Manchester United have reportedly drawn plan A and B solutions to a possible Paul Pogba departure next season.

The Red Devils' French midfielder is yet to sign a new contract while the current deal is set to come to its end in June 2022.

As a result, it is not a surprise to find the club looking at potential replacements. With the 28-year-old Pogba set to mark five years at Old Trafford, it would also not be a surprise to learn that he harbours an interest to test a new environment, especially if playing for a team like Real Madrid or FC Barcelona is a long-standing ambition.

Whether he will extend or not, United are believed to be targeting AC Milan's Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie, 24, as plan A.

Additionally, Tottenham Hotspur's Tanguy Ndombele, also 24, is somewhat of a plan B.

"Manchester United have identified AC Milan's Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie, 24, as a possible replacement for 28-year-old France star Paul Pogba, whose contract at Old Trafford expires in 2022. (Mundo Deportivo - in Spanish), the BBC reported.

"Pogba's compatriot Tanguy Ndombele is another midfielder on Manchester United's radar despite the 24-year-old's mixed fortunes since his record £53.8m move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2019. (Calciomercato - in Italian)," the outlet added.

Meanwhile, Man United are focused on the EFL Cup tie against West Ham United midweek.
