Manchester United might consider recalling young winger Facundo Pellistri from his loan at Alaves.
There are reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not pleased with Alaves’ treatment of his player and according to Goal, United are considering triggering a clause to end Pellistri’s stay with the club after becoming frustrated with the lack of game time given to him so far.
The player who was loaned to the same club last season has made seven appearances, starting just once this season, and is yet to hit 200 minutes, so Solskjaer’s decision to put in a clause that stated he could terminate the loan if the player hasn’t featured in 1000 minutes worth of football before December comes has proven useful.
The Peoples Person previously claimed that the versatile Uruguayan’s form is the reason for the lack of minutes with the club not sure if he will be handed more game time after the international break.
While United might want the player back for their U23, there are reports that there are clubs who are interested in the player and would likely request for a loan deal come January should he return to Old Trafford.
Solskjaer wants the player to gain more first-team experience before he can be thrown in United's first team as there are so many players currently above him in the pecking order.
Solskjaer has the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata as the players capable of playing on the wings.
There is even Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga in the background who can step up to the first team if there’s an injury crisis.
